A Beginning

For the past few years I’ve been working on a series called A Show for the Gods. A fantasy fiction story. It started as faux newspaper article for a friend’s website. Having never written anything since high school I found the premise of the article intriguing enough to expand on it, centralizing the story around the only character featured, a healer named Danika Del Ray. I chose a point in her life, a moment proceeding a major battle and followed her journey for another three-hundred pages. Soon, the short story grew to novel length. Precipice became the first, followed by Diviner, End of Dreams and Burn the Sky.
For me, the storyline of A Show for the Gods blooms when the camaraderie of friendship is put to the test by the harrowing obstacles they must face together. I look at A Show for the Gods as the first installment of a continuing series of adventures involving these wonderful, dynamic personalities that sprouted from out of nowhere and have taken on a life all their own.
