Suggested Horror

Read my take on some of the best horror films ever made. These are in no discernible order. I don't consider these critic reviews as there are plenty of those to be found, but rather experiences from a horror fan's perspective. Someone who watched the film with moderate to high expectations and walked away satisfied.

These are a collection of films that got the blood pumping. Both old and new, originals and the re-imagined. They are a presentation of horror work you could refer to someone who's interested in the genre and wants to get their feet wet. I hope you enjoy!

Sinister (2012) - Washed-up true-crime writer Ellison Oswalt finds a box of super 8 home movies that suggest the murder he is currently researching is the work of a serial killer whose work dates back to the 1960s.

Aliens (1986)  - Ellen Ripley is rescued by a deep salvage team after being in hypersleep for 57 years. The moon that the Nostromo visited has been colonized, but contact is lost. This time, colonial marines have impressive firepower, but will that be enough?

The Thing (1982)  -  A crew in Antarctica finds a neighboring camp destroyed and its crew dead. Whatever killed them is nowhere to be found, unless it's hidden in plain sight.
